"It is quite dark due to being located down an alleyway. Very little natural light in the rooms. Electric lighting very good and well positioned though. The stairs are very narrow, and steep. Perhaps a tea towel for drying the washing up. (Dishwasher is included)"

"The apartment was very comfortable, just as pictured, in an unbeatable location. Stephanie and her family were very kind and flexible and worked with us on the checkin/checkout times. Really, a perfect place to stay for a large family or group! As others have mentioned, there are quite a few stairs, including fairly steep and narrow ones to the second floor of the apartment, so this wouldn't be a great place for those with limited mobility. Also highly recommend making advance reservations for the restaurant downstairs (La Rapiere) - fantastic meal!"

"The apartment is a little difficult to find the first time, and it's also confusing to know where to park (Google maps tries to take you down a pedestrian-only street) - some photos or a video guide to help guests find the apartment entrance and maybe the nearest parking lots would be great!"

"Great location. Right in the heart of town. It’s actually tight above La Rapiere, Bayeux’s highly rated Michelin star restaurant. So take care to book the restaurant when you book the apartment. We didn’t and were disappointed! Apartment was well stocked - everything you would want for cooking in - pots, pans, utensils, cutlery and a few grocery items (left over from previous guests?)."

"The owner will insist on a €500 deposit in case of breakages or damages when you check-in. No issues in the return of the deposit at the end - just a little inconvenient. Also take note that the stairs to the upper level are very steep for the less mobile."

"Location excellent. Easy walking onto main street with bars and restaurants. Hosts lovely. Apartment very nice inside and very clean. Museums, catherdral all within walking distance."

"Staircase to upper floor is a very tight and steep 'circular' style type staircase that probably wouldn't pass safety regulations in the UK. Apartment doesn't have its own parking. There are a few public car parks close by, but they are very full a lot of the time. It is free however if you can find a space using the hosts 'Blue Disk' There is a deposit of 500euros to be paid on arrival. While i understand the hosts reason for this, it is still a pain to order so much foreign currency and then be stuck with it at the end of your holiday."

"The property is (literally) above the restaurant strip, close to everything, with a lot of character. The hosts were very responsive when we had a little issue with the hot water system."
